Week 7 is here people and at this rate if we don’t turn things around here quick I might just say I have blood clots so I can take the rest of the season off. Last week’s picks felt so good until they weren’t. In the earlier window it seemed the Lock would get an easy win but even though Harbaugh is gone it turns out the Ravens are still addicted to blowing 10 points leads. Then after that disappoint the Over died a painfully slow death but in the end that’s on me for trusting the Chargers to do anything. Thankfully there was something I did like last Sunday as daaaaa Raiders covered for the Dawg late thanks to an absolute dime by Kirk. Now I know I joked about hanging it up but we’d never fake an injury or retire mid-season. What do we look like some mentally soft offensive lineman from Pennsylvania? You all should know we’ve got more pride than that and are far too stubborn to quit so let’s get into it.
Life’s Too Short to Bet the Under
Rams @ Raiders (48.5)
With a 3-3 record so far this season it’s safe to say things have been up and down season for the Over so far at Bick’s Picks. With a chance to get to the Over a winning record I’m once again turning to my old QB to get us some points. Kirk and company have mostly been a consistent source of scoring all season especially when they play indoors. On the flip side the Rams desperately need this win and despite being banged up I think they’ll be ready to make this a shoot out in Vegas. In addition to me actually liking both of these offenses to score you know I couldn’t ignore a perfect number like 48.5. So let’s roll the dice we see 7 TDs and cruise to this Over.
Over 48.5 (-110)
Fade Dawgs
Packers (+3.5) @ Lions
Similar to the Over things have been up and down for the Dawg this season but let’s be honest it’s been mostly down as we’re 4-6 so far. Now as for this week’s pick I guarantee those in the know will be quick to point out the Lions are the sharp pick this week. Yes Detroit is coming off the bye and yes there’s something about Jordan Love and the Packers that seems phony. But you know what I don’t care I’m taking the cheese because my plums are telling me the Lions are still the Lions. Dan Campbell’s incompetence coupled with a putrid secondary will allow Green Bay to keep this close or possibly even steal it late.
Packers +3.5 (-112)
Bick’s Stone Cold Lock of the Century of the Week
49ers (-2.5) @ Falcons
Unlike the first two segments I won’t sugarcoat it the Lock has been straight up ass. I could blame being cute and trying to make parlays happen but there’s no reason to make excuses for a 2-4 record. In the end I’ve somehow been overthinking the Lock when in reality this pick should be all plums. No thinking just ride with the game that I just can’t shake. Now maybe it’s because I just saw them beat Washington but the Niners made too much sense to me today. Yes they’re banged up but against the Falcons it shouldn’t matter. I’m a Penix hater so I think if San Fran can keep Bijan in check they should cruise to an easy victory. If not I’m gonna have to rethink how I approach the Lock but I’m betting CMC carries us to a win.
49ers -2.5 (-115)
GUEST PICKS
Brady’s 2 TD Play of the Day
The Play: Kenneth Walker 2+ TDs
Time to start a new winning streak as Kyren Williams let us down as the Rams got embarrassed and fell to the Cardinals last week. This week we are going with a guy who’s already found the end zone 8 times through 5 games in Kenneth Walker. Walker goes up against his old team in Seattle on Sunday night and I’m sure he’s going to want to put on a show after they let him walk in free agency right after he was MVP of the Super Bowl last season. Look for Walker to have a big game Sunday and score at least twice.
