Week 8 is here people and I don’t know about you but I can’t believe October is over already. It’s sad to see spooky season go but don’t worry the fall is the gift that keeps on giving. November has already gifted us an extra hour of sleep, the stores will be full of discount candy and Thanksgiving will be here before we know it. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves as always we’ve still got the last week to review. Now I wish I could say we were close to a perfect week since we went 2-1 but that would be a lie. Sure the Rams/Raiders hit the Over with ease and the Packers covered for the Dawg but once again the Lock was a complete flop. Early on it seemed like there was a chance the Niners could roll but when CMC got hurt it all fell apart. Needless to say the “Lock” being 2-5 on the season is doing us no favors but there’s still plenty of football left, so let’s get into it.
Life’s Too Short to Bet the Under
Patriots @ Dolphins (41.5)
Aside from the opener whether it was intentional or not somehow I’ve somehow managed to avoid having the Patriots involved in any of our picks but that ends today. There were several totals on the slate that seemed appealing but I kept coming back to this one. I know the weather is crappy down there but either way I think 41.5 is just too low. Sure the Pats are banged up on offense but honestly there’s no reason Maye and company shouldn’t be able to move the ball on Miami. On the other side we all know the Dolphins aren’t a good team but they’ve been scrappy this year and always seem to put up more of a fight against New England at Hard Rock Stadium. So line up the sambuca because I’m betting we see some TDs in the 305 today.

Fade Dawgs
Cardinals (+7) @ Cowboys
I could just keep this simple by saying this is a hater pick and drop the mic with a Fuck the Cowboys but I gotta be honest it wasn’t just bias deciding this one. You wouldn’t think it but the Cardinals have absolutely owned Dallas in recent history. They’ve won 8 of the last 9 games outright including their last 4 matchups. Some may ignore stats like that but these old division rivals have enough history that I’m buying into it. Not to mention Dallas is coming off a short week and much like the rest of the NFC East they’re simply just not that good. Now you won’t hear me singing the praises of Jacoby Brissett but similar to Miami in the Over write-up Arizona has been a scrappy team showing they can show up against better competition. So let’s hate hate hate and pick the Cards to cover.
Cardinals +7 (-105)
Bick’s Stone Cold Lock of the Century of the Week
Eagles @ Commanders (40.5)
Screw it I’m breaking my imaginary rules and I’m including SNF in the picks. As I mentioned earlier the Lock has fallen on hard times, dare I say desperate times which means we gotta resort to desperate measures. Frankly things don’t get more desperate than this matchup. I can’t think of an early season primetime game that deserved to be flexed more than this one but here we are. Both of these team’s seasons are holding on by a thread and that might be generous. Each is dealing with a growing mountain of key injuries and have coaches that can’t get out of their own way. But despite these two teams competing to see who can have the more cataclysmically embarrassing season somehow they both have plenty to play for. Similar to the last time Washington was featured in the Over it’s all about Jayden. Sure he hasn’t won a game in a year but that doesn’t change the fact I believe in his talent and ability to protect the ball. On the flip side as always I simply don’t trust our defense. Even when it’s a game they should win, you know my guys will find a way to make it so much harder than it needs to be. So maybe on paper this isn’t the most attractive matchup but with the season on the line for both these teams I’m betting they’ll at the very least entertain us with enough scoring.

Brady’s 2 TD Play of the Day
The Play: Hunter Henry 2+ TDs
Hasn’t been much luck this year so far with only one winning week so far in this segment. So I’m gonna throw a crazy one out there this week and see what happens. I’m going with Hunter Henry for the double score this week. Pats are down both AJ Brown and Romeo Doubs so someone else is going to have to step up. Look for Henry to have his first big game of 2026 and find the end zone twice against the Dolphins.
